Rule Book Update & Additional Rule Sets
It's been a while since I've thought about this project, but I saw some downloads the other day and thought I ought to take a look at it again. Good thing I did, because I noticed some typos in the rule book that were easily fixed! But I didn't stop with fixing typos, no siree. I went through the whole book and expanded on rules that might have been vague before, making sure that the writing style was consistent throughout as well. This resulted in a couple of extra sections being added to the book to hopefully clarify any questions that might exist about how to handle certain situations like doubling cards.
While going through the rules again, I also thought of a few extra rule sets to add into the mix that I thought would be fun. Before, the only extra rule set was "Grand Master," but I've added Real-Time, which imposes a time limit on turns, and Tournament, which is more of a suggestion to use a tournament bracket in order to play with more than 2 players. And wouldn't you know it, as I was adding those rules, I thought of even more rules that could be used to make Card Clash playable with up to 6 players!
The 3–6 player rule sets are not included in this updated rule book because I need to develop them a bit more, but I'm planning to make it a full on expansion pack with an additional print-on-demand physical release of the base game plus the expansion pack with 2 brand new decks to go with the 3–6 player rule set! So if you like Card Clash or want to see what that release will look like, keep an eye out for that update sometime in the (hopefully) near future.
Until then, I hope you enjoy the updated and expanded rule book!
